Lindsay is an approved British Gymnastics tutor who specialises in delivering the Teachers Award. With a wealth of curricular knowledge and experience Lindsay's innovative courses offer more than a traditional view of school gymnastics.

 

Who should attend a British Gymnastics Teachers Award

Teachers, NQT's, teaching assistants and sports coaches (with an NGB level 2 or multi-skills level 2 qualification) will gain invaluable gymnastics knowledge and understanding enhancing gymnastics and PE in your schools.

 

Course Delivery

The British Gymnastics Introductory Teachers Award is a 10 hour practical course and comprises of 6 modules.

The British Gymnastics Intermediate Teachers Award is a 12 hour practical course and comprises of 6 modules.

 

Course Outcomes

The BG Teachers Award enables teachers and sports coaches to deliver a curricular gymnastics programmes and / or an after-school gymnastics club in their primary school.

 

The courses supports the development of basic gymnastics-specific individual skills on the floor (including rolling techniques and inversions), paired partner balances, flight and vaulting skills, use of large apparatus and hand apparatus.
